This Pearcea is a distinctly coloured gesneriad with dark olive to emerald coloured fuzzy leaves with pink and lime green venation. It is a fairly hardy plant, and will achieve the best growth and consistent flowering with a humidity that varies throughout the day. Our schedule involves a drenching in the morning, a light misting around lunch and a dry period until lights out at which point it gets another misting. Flowers are bright red/orange and bulbous with only a tiny opening. This plant can get fairly large, and leaves need to be around 10-12 cm long and 8cm wide for consistent flowering.
Does well in ABG mix, keep soil moist.
Does well in a humidity that varies throughout the day with a wetter period and a drier period.
Likes moderate lighting, if lighting is lower, leaves will be a greener colour, higher light will achieve a bronze colouration.
