Microsorum Linguiforme

Nice small sized South East Asian epiphytic vining fern, puts out veined leaves around 3 cm wide and 12-15cm long every 2 cm from each branch. Grows moderately fast, branches nicely and is a lot more forgiving than some of the more delicate ferns. Great for a first fern. Leaves will become transparent if airflow is too low, but can recover quite quick;y.

Mounting :

Mount Near the base of a wall so it can root in and angle the growth point upwards either vertically or diagonally. When it branches I’ve noticed it prefers to branch towards the light, but if it is pointing toward the soil just pinch it back and it’ll usually put another branch on the other side.

Humidity :

Does well in 60+ humidity, high airflow is a must.

Light :

Likes moderate lighting, will grow slower with longer rhizomes in low light.
