Diastema Vexans

Small flowering gesneriad with 2-3cm fuzzy olive green foliage. Very easy to grow and will usually recover from poor conditions. Flowers regularly with 2 cm long white flowers with a splash of purple at the end.

Soil :

Does best with consistently moist ABG mixture.

Humidity :

Does best in a spot with high air flow, with humidity that varies throughout the day. For best growth misting, light noon misting and then let drop to the 60s by evening and then another light misting before bed. Will tolerate consistent humidity, but if it is constantly kept at 85+ the plant can get leggy and begin to form aerial roots. If humidity drops below 50% for an extended period wilting can occur.

Light :

Very light tolerant but prefers low to moderate lighting. If colour starts to lighten into a lime green, lighting is too strong, and the plant will become leggy.
