Small Gesneriad found in Ecuador and Peru. This epiphyte is usually found growing on rocky walls above water sources in the wild. It can grow as a miniature terrestrial or epiphyte in the terrarium. When happy it will regularly flower with miniature white flowers which last 5-10 days.

Soil/Mounting :

If terrestrial, benefits from a soil mixture similar to that of epiphytic orchids, tolerant of standard ABG mix. If mounting, place a few loose strands of sphagnum moss below and above root ball and secure into place gently. Do not let soil/epiphytic moss dry out fully.

Humidity :

Does best in a spot with high air flow, with humidity that varies throughout the day. I’ve found a heavy morning misting, light noon misting and then let drop to the 60s by evening and then another light misting before bed. Will tolerate consistent humidity, but if it is constantly kept at 85+ the plant can get leggy.

Light :

Very light tolerant, takes on a bronze/olive hue with strong bronze venation with moderate/high light, seems to flower slightly more like this. Lower light will result in slightly less venation and light green almost lime foliage.
