Pilea Dark Ecuador

A great moderate growing, moderate height, moderate leaved Pilea with gorgeous bronze leafed new ground which becomes either a dark emerald or dark burgundy depending on lighting. Higher light pushes the leaves towards the burgundy colouring. Tolerant of a wide range of soil moisture, humidity, temperature and lighting.

Soil :

Does well in ABG mixture kept constantly moist.

Humidity :

Does well in 60+ humidity, grows fastest between 70-80. Does not do well below 70 long term, but tolerant of a daily swing in humidity down to 50 for 3 hours or less. Will become leggy if above 90% or in low light conditions.

Light :

Likes moderate/high lighting best but very light tolerant. Can become leggy in lower light conditions
