Microchilus Anchoriferus Dark

Medium sized jewel orchid from South America. Dark green with greenish white patterning. Microchilus genus likes moisture and humidity but requires airflow and will not tolerate as much dampness as the more common Ludisia Discolor or Macodes Petola. Drainage and care to avoid overwatering are key to this genus.

Blooms in the spring to fall on a spike 30 cm long. Many small flowers on the spike.
